Brian once again began working with Cosmic Debris in 2019, after a 13 year break from the company. Brian took over the Instagram account and began designing new designs using the existing catalogue of Emily The Strange artwork.

In September of 2018 Oopsy Daisy was brought back to life after a 13 year retirement. The Oopsy world features 4 independent characters who each have their own personalities and limited color palettes.

Gora X, Sidney Punk & Princess Pretty animations for Instagram Reels and TikTok 2022 – 2023

The Oopsy characters all have their own “tv shows” that they watch. They also all star as mascots to their own brands of breakfast cereals. They parody and celebrate teenage shopping mall culture that creator Brian experienced first hand while growing up in Phoenix, Arizona.

Temescal Now is a 24 page book of maps created by Oakland artist, Brian Brooks! The first issue collects all of the current business logos along Telegraph Avenue, from 40th Street to 52nd Street, in the Temescal neighborhood in Oakland California.

Animated 2-Line Poetry Reels are a series 21 instructional poems Brian created in the Instagram App using Instagram’s library of animated GIFs.

They were created shortly after Brian disowned his status as visual-artist, and declaring himself a poet. Once again, this phase didn’t last long. Using the animated GIFs in the Instagram inspired Brian to (once again) try to learn how to create animated GIFs for the Oopsy Daisy characters.
